Summer is ending, but we're turning up the heat!

Hi there!

Its Luke from the lab, and as summer winds down (we’re even experiencing very cool weather for the time of year) we have some exciting things to share in our newsletter as everyones kids return to school and we re-double back down into work.

First off, we’ve been very busy this summer getting our new machinery up and running to produce our newest generation of hotends, the Pika hotend for Bambu! We have a series of videos in our playlist here! We’re super excited to add this to our shop and it should greatly increase our pace of development! We post at least every other week with our updates, and hope to be doing some more dedicated videos on machining and maybe a new lab tour by end of year!

We’ve also opened preorders, with a bonus option – For those makers out there that want to integrate our hotend onto their own printers that have embraced the bambu form factor, we’ve created an option just for you – Introducing, Pika, Makers edition!

Featuring the same physical construction, we’ve made two key changes to make it the best possible option for those out there running their own remix of the bambu hotend, namely, swapping out the PTC heater for a non-PTC, 100w version, as well as swapping the thermistor out for a PT1000 instead!

This means that you can get a significant meltzone in a minimal package with all the wattage your hearts desire! (Rejoice Jabberwocky users!)

This is also not the last Pika variant – we have a few additional units that we’re currently prototyping that will be available for some other popular units (cough Qidi plus 4 cough) with the same level of quality and performance increase!

Next up, lets talk about some of our new&returning products that are in stock now!

We’ve restocked our filament supply of PPS-CF and ASA-GF. As a fun bonus, those who preorder Pika hotends will get a 10% discount on up to 10 spools of our two-step filaments!

This discount will be valid for our upcoming lines of material as well – Which we’re excited to announce will include significantly more (pantone matched, to boot) colors of ASA-GF, some exciting new nylon blends with extreme impact toughness & strength (think rubber but nylon!) and finally, affordable Sabic Ultem 1010-GF.

For you Elegoo giga (and subsequently, Bluestorm Tera) fans, we’re excited to announce that we’ve recently stocked 820x820mm sheets that are a perfect, 1:1 fit for your gigas! No more will you need to use exclude zones when measuring the centerlines or get some nasty gap marks on the bottom of your prints!

We also have stock of the all-in-one toolhead kits for the gigas to turn them into Teras – We’ve taken the time to write out a complete physical assembly guide, and are patching holes in the electronics guide as we get them from you customers!

Our goal for q4 is to make additional upgrade guides to help with a variety of tasks with the gigas, as we have not one but two here onsite for our print farm.

Transitioning now to print farming – We’ve recently significantly expanded our print farm and our print capabilities. If you have jobs that you or your place of work needs done, send em our way and we’ll get you a fast, reasonable quote (or a swift “we’re not a good match” response alternatively) with a large variety of materials available, from PLA to PEI, from 1 part to 10,000 parts. We have invested in a vision inspection system to assist our manufacturing prowess and for parts smaller than 500x500mm we should be able to even get inspection reports with them!

We also are happy to report that we have our prototype Jupiters in house - they appear to be working well, despite all the fun of prototyping and getting them setup.

Saving the best for last – I’m happy to announce that we’ll be bringing a new Chubular entry to the hotend market, and we think its absolutely what ya’ll have been waiting for. Come check out our booth at 3dprintopia to learn more 😊

Happy printing!!!
