Compatability

This product is fully compatible with the snapmaker U1, Including stock heater, therm, and even enhanced heating methods like the Panda Breath!

Utilizes the FIN nozzle, which is not only available from Luke's Laboratory but from key industry players like Bondtech (CHT) Diamondback, and Microswiss!

Flowrates

Your filament and setup may vary. Copper & CHT nozzles will flow more than hardened steel in general.

Current testing: .4mm CHT on stock toolhead up to 60mm3/s with PLA.

Works great, with one little exception

I love the new hotend, specially the ability to quickly change nozzles and the xtra flow. I wish I had seen somewhere that the U1 multi toolhead alignment feature of the printer wouldn't work quite right unless the silicone sock was removed for it. Once I did that all the lay misalignment errors went away. Maybe it's just me, but the way the sock hangs down messes with the calibration sensor somehow. Add a note somewhere about that, or make it more visible if it's already out there and I missed it.

The perfect upgrade

The Pika Hotend is a total game-changer for my Snapmaker U1. I was so sick of dismantling the entire printhead just to change a nozzle, but now I can swap them in seconds with a simple hex wrench. Between pushing flow rates up to 60mm³/s with PLA and finally being able to run aftermarket nozzles, it is easily the best upgrade I’ve made to this machine.
