How to use the twang method
  1. Set your belt type, width, and the free span length (the section of belt that actually vibrates between two fixed points).
  2. Pick a registration drive factor. Higher means tighter; 1.5 to 2.0 is the usual range.
  3. Pluck that belt span like a guitar string and read the pitch with a tuner or guitar-tuner app.
  4. Tension the belt until the measured pitch matches the target frequency above.
