Road To RMRRF

Road To RMRRF

Hi gang!

March was another busy month!

I’m happy to report that as of writing this, we are expecting to have Pikas ready for RMRRF! We get a majority of the parts back in a day or two, and assembly will begin with haste & increased labor!

This last month I completed nozzle machining, machined titanium heatbreaks, completed inspecting all of our nozzles, and generally ensured that every part made so far will work great!

After we are done assembling, availability will be high, as we’ve made enough parts to keep good stock for both U1 and Bambu variants.

I’ll have a separate update about the manufacturing process, showing all of the fun we’re having, including fixturing, inspection, assembly, all that! It will contain a timeline & roadmap for production, which we hope will show just how close we are on Pika & Compact!

Speaking of the U1, we sent out an early release candidate assembly (fully made in-house except the heatsink, so all of the hard/specialty parts) to an enthusiastic tester, and they’ve truly put it through the paces!

Both external testers have individually confirmed 60mm3/s with a .4mm (CHT) nozzle on the U1!!! We think this will absolutely be an amazing option for the U1, as you will be able to easily swap nozzle sizes. We’ll have a fully loaded U1 at RMRRF to show off the multi-tool advantages with increased flow, featuring several nozzle sizes allowing for faster, stronger prints!

Transitioning to RMRRF:

We’re looking forward to being there!

Here we are, parked next to Bondtech & Headamame!

We’ll be bringing Bambu X1/P1 Pikas, Snapmaker U1 Pikas, FIN nozzles, some of our new Two-Step ABS-GF (if it delivers in time) for sale. If you would like to place an order ahead of time for pickup at RMRRF, you can do so with the Pikas and their accessories. Space is limited, so we will only be offering what we are already planning on bringing!

Note: Previous online preorders will be shipped as originally planned. If you already have a Pika on preorder, we will ship it as quickly as we can! We looked into bringing past preorders, but discovered that Colorado would require us to pay state taxes for all of them, & we don’t want to upset Colorado's Department of Revenue.

We’re excited to bring the aforementioned U1, as well as 1-2 of a separate project that I think will be quite exciting for those seeking a quality, US-made 3d printer at a reasonable price!

I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone, both familiar faces and new ones, at the show, and wish everyone the safest travels!
